A few more pictures from the double exposure experiment. Especially the second picture, where the pot holder with the umbrellas is combined with a rainy window, was such a fun surprise.
Nog een paar foto’s van het double exposure experiment. Vooral de tweede foto, waarop pannenonderzetters met paraplu’s werden gecombineerd met een beregend raam vond ik zo grappig.

This past few weeks I’ve experimented a bit with one of my old analogue camera’s, the Olympus Trip 35: after I’ve shot a role of film, I’ve used that filmrole again. I’ve got a role filled with unexpected double exposures. I think it turned out fun!
De afgelopen weken experimenteerde ik met een van mijn oude analoge camera’s, de Olympus Trip 35: toen ik een rolletje volgeschoten had, gebruikte ik het rolletje nog een keer. Ik heb nu een rolletje vol verrassende double exposures (dubbele beelden). Een geslaagd experiment!

I totally forgot I took these images, a few months ago. This is why I love analogue photography so much, the pictures never cease to amaze me.

About two years ago I found this vintage camera at a flea market and I’ve developed the role of film that was still in it. So much fun to see snow fun in the eighties (?). Looking outside right now the world seems so much the same.
Ongeveer twee jaar geleden vond ik deze vintage camera op een rommelmarkt en ik liet het rolletje dat er nog in zat ontwikkelen. Zo grappig, die sneeuwpret in de jaren tachtig (?). Als ik nu naar buiten kijken ziet de wereld er bijna hetzelfde uit.

While in Normandy last summer, we’ve visited a few World War II memorial sites. It was impressive to see the places we’ve heard so much about in history lessons and to see the resting-place of the men that lost their lives fighting for Europe’s freedom.
These pictures are taken at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial and at Pointe du Hoc, one of the D-day beaches.
Afgelopen zomer in Normandië, bezochten we een aantal Tweede Wereldoorlog-gedenkplaatsen. Het was indrukwekkend om de plaatsen te zien waar we veel over hebben gehoord tijdens geschiedenislessen en om de laatste rustplaats te zien van zovelen die stierven voor de vrijheid van Europa.
Deze foto’s zijn gemaakt op het ‘Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial’ en op Pointe du Hoc, een van de stranden van D-day.

I waited until Sinterklaas left Holland, to hang some Christmas ornaments on my wall. This poster I made at Pixum also. The text turned out more white than the pink I imagined. But a white Christmas kind of fits, right? And the fun thing is: I ordered two posters, so I could give one away.

Ik wachtte tot Sinterklaas Nederland verliet, om wat kerstdecoraties op mijn muur te hangen. Deze poster maakte ik ook bij Pixum. De tekst werd witter dan het roze dat ik in mijn hoofd had. Maar een witte kerst is niet verkeerd, wel? En het leuke is: ik bestelde twee exemplaren, zodat ik er een weg kon geven.
