Lomo-saturday


Een paar weken geleden, op een dag dat donderwolken zich boven ons samenpakten, zagen we langs de weg een troosteloos en verlaten huis. We stapten uit en namen een kijkje. De verlaten plek bleek een huis te zijn geweest van een familie met kleine kinderen, te zien aan de troep die was achtergebleven. Triest maar prachtig verval.

A few weeks ago, on a day thunder clouds gathered above us, we saw an abandoned and deserted house on the side of the road. We got out of the car and had a look around. We found that the desolated place used to be a house to a family with small children, as the rubbish that was left behind showed. Sad but beautiful decay.

Lomo-saturday


Bij een verlaten en vervallen huis is het mooi foto’s maken, vooral met een oude camera als mijn Agfa Optima 200 Sensor. Later volgen meer foto’s uit deze serie, maar ik vond dat dit plaatje van T. een post op zichzelf verdiende.


It is nice to take pictures at a deserted and worn out house, especially with an old camera like my Agfa Optima 200 Sensor. I will post more of this set later on, but think this picture of T. deserves a post of it’s own.

Lomo-saturday


Het duurde een eeuwigheid voordat dit zwart-witrolletje vol was. Het is namelijk alweer een hele tijd geleden dat ik met Anki bij Yvonne op bezoek ging in België. Ik ben nog steeds onder de indruk van de ruimte en de sfeer in haar huis. Vandaag spraken we toevallig weer af met z’n drieën en het was weer zo gezellig!

It took ages before this black and white role was filled. It is quite a while ago that Anki and I went to visit Yvonne in Belgium. I am stilled baffled by the size and atmosphere of her home. Today the three of us happened to meet again, and once again we had a great time!

Lomo-saturday



Deze week zag je op enigheid al heel wat analoge foto’s, afgelopen zaterdag genomen. Die maakte ik overigens lichter en knipte ik uit, om het zoveel mogelijk waarheidsgetrouw te laten zijn. Op lomo-saturday niets van dat: pure foto’s zonder digitale aanpassingen.
Boven kat Aart bovenop de verwarmingsketel, genomen met de Diana camera, met rode flits. Onder kat Schurk in ons tuintje, met de Olympus trip.

This week on enigheid a lot of analogue photography, taken last saturday. I made those somewhat lighter en cropped them, to make them more truthful. On lomo-saturday I don’t use photoshop: pure pictures without digital enhancements.
On top cat Aart, on top of the heating unit, taken with my Diana camera, with red flash. Underneath cat Schurk in our small garden, with the Olympus trip.

Woonbeurssfeer III


Pittige pastels: ook die blijven komend jaar hip. De origami-lampen zag ik in de stand van Tas-ka, Keecie en Snurk. De PomPoms op foto twee hingen in het geweldige en frisse 101 Woonideeen-huis. Een inspiratie-bom, hun huizen (ze hebben er twee dit jaar).

Solid pastels: they stay hip in the coming year. The origami-lamps I saw at the stand of Tas-ka, Keecie and Snurk. The PomPoms in the second picture hang in the amazing and fresh 101 Woonideeen-house. A bomb of inspiration, their houses (they have two this year).

En overal op de beurs zag je neon. Fluorescerende kleuren vind ik al een tijdje geweldig, maar ik heb er nog geen genoeg van. Het bed (met analoge camera op het kussen!) stond in het VT Wonen-huis. De onderste foto is genomen in het Eigen Huis en Interieur-paviljoen. Daarvan was ik echt onder de indruk. Jammer dat niet al mijn foto’s daarvan gelukt zijn.

And everywhere at the fair I saw neon accents. I’ve loved fluorescent colors for a while now, but still can’t get enough of it. The bed (with analogue camera on the cushion!) was in the VT Wonen-house. The picture below was taken in the Eigen Huis en Interieur-pavillion. I was so impressed by it. Such a shame some of the photo’s I took were blank.

Woonbeurssfeer II

Zoals sommigen van jullie wellicht al weten, heb ik nogal een lampen-tic. Ik moet me echt inhouden om lampen te kopen waar ik nog geen plek voor heb. Ook op de Woonbeurs ging mijn oog meteen richting lichtbronnen.
Bovenaan een prieel op de stand van Seasons. Zo gaaf, al die oude lampenkapjes aan een gekleurde snoer. Linksonder een lamp van Ontwerpduo in het VT Wonen-huis. Ik zag de lamp vorig jaar al tijdens de Dutch Design Week en ben er nog steeds verliefd op. Rechtsonder neon-woorden in de container van The Frozen Fountain. Die waterval van lichtende letters: geweldig.

As some of you may know, I’ve got a thing for lamps. I really have to restrain myself to buy lamps I don’t have a place for. On the Woonbeurs my eyes went straight to the light-sources.
Above you see a garden house on the Seasons stand. I think it is awesome, the old light-shades on a colorful string. On the left below you see a lamp by Ontwerpduo in the house of VT Wonen. I saw the lamp last year at the Dutch Design Week and I’m still in love with it. On the right below, neon words in the container of The Frozen Fountain. The waterfall of letters of light: amazing.

Woonbeurssfeer I

Vandaag heb ik mijn fotorolletje van afgelopen zaterdag laten ontwikkelen. En gelukkig stond er wat moois op! De komende drie dagen zal ik laten zien wat ik allemaal op de Woonbeurs zag, door mijn viewfinder.
Hierboven foto’s uit het Ariadne-huis. Het blad lees ik niet regelmatig, maar het huis vond ik prachtig: ingericht met zachte pasteltinten, veel verschillende texturen en neon-accenten. Mocht je de PomPoms net zo geweldig vinden als ik: ze zijn onder andere verkrijgbaar bij webwinkel Een Nieuw Avontuur.

Today I have been to the photographer to develop the filmrole I shot last saturday. And gladly it showed some pretty things! The following three days I will show the things I have seen at the Woonbeurs, through my viewfinder.
Pictures above are from the Ariadne-house. I don’t read the magazine regularly, but the house was so pretty: it was decorated with lovely pastels, lots of different textures and some accents in neon. If you love the PomPoms as much as I do: you can by them at webshop Een Nieuw Avontuur.
