Friday, Anki and I went for a spontaneous trip to Amsterdam. We came home late at night flooded with pretty purchases, fun and inspiration. I was blown away by the current display at Options, those tables are fantastic.
Vrijdag besloten Anki en ik om naar Amsterdam te gaan. We kwamen ’s avonds laat thuis, overladen met mooie aankopen, lol en inspiratie. Ik was ontzettend onder de indruk van de huidige inrichting van Options, die tafels zijn fantastisch.
Last friday I was invited to the opening party of Urlaub, an awesome illustration and concept store in Utrecht, initiated by talented and fun Ellen Vesters. The shop and workplace are full of inspiration, Ellen found a great selection of products from artists from all over the world. Ein supertolles Geschäft!
Afgelopen vrijdag was ik uitgenodigd voor het openingsfeestje van Urlaub, een geweldige illustratie en concept store in Utrecht, opgezet door leuke en getalenteerde Ellen Vesters. Winkel en werkplekken zijn volgepakt met inspiratie, Ellen vond een super selectie aan producten van kunstenaars van over de hele wereld. Ein supertolles Geschäft!
I am still touched by the enormous amount of love in the blog world. When I have an off day, reading blogs (and your comments on my blog) lift my spirit. And days that are already great get a silver lining, sharing them with you. It feels like you know me and my tastes so well. Sometimes readers are so sweet to send me links of blogs, works of art and interior objects that made them think of me. Sometimes I even find a gift in my real mailbox.
The bag on the top photo was a belated birthday gift from Wendel. Mireille sent me the amazing iphone case on picture no. two, because she knew it was sold out around here. The cushion cover on the third picture was a present from sweet Nikki. I am one lucky girl with blogfriends like these.
Talking about gifts: it is time to announce the give away winner! The Diamond tea towel goes to Lynne! An e-mail is on it’s way.
De enorme liefde in de blogwereld raakt me keer op keer. Als ik een rotdag heb, maakt het lezen van blogs (en van jullie comments op mijn blog) me blij. En dagen die al mooi zijn, krijgen een gouden randje wanneer ik ze met jullie deel. Het voelt alsof jullie mij en mijn smaak echt kennen. Sommige lezers zijn zo lief om me links naar blogs, kunstwerken of spullen te sturen, die ze aan mij doen denken. Soms vind ik zelfs letterlijk een kado in mijn brievenbus.
De tas op de bovenste foto was een verlaat verjaardagscadeau van Wendel. Mireille stuurde me dit fantastische telefoonhoesje, omdat ze wist dat hij hier in de buurt was uitverkocht. De kussenhoes op de derde foto was een kado van lieve Nikki. Wat een geluk, blogvrienden als deze.
Nu we het toch hebben over kadootjes: het is tijd om de give away bekend te maken! De Diamond tea towel gaat naar Lynne! Een e-mail is naar je op weg.
Yesterday I had drinks at the Mariapaviljoen in Den Bosch, along with my T, Wendel and her T and a few other friends happened to be there too. The restaurant is situated in the old hospital in the city centre and opened about a week ago. Studio Boot is responsible for the design and interior. They used so many great hospital-attributes, it’s hilarious and gorgeous at the same time. Fun and inspiration on a Sunday afternoon.
Gister dronk ik wat bij Mariapaviljoen in Den Bosch, samen met mijn T, Wendel en haar T en een paar andere vrienden die er toevallig ook rondhingen. Het restaurant zit in het oude ziekenhuis in het centrum en is nu ruim een week open. Studio Boot is verantwoordelijk voor het design en de inrichting. Ze gebruikten zoveel gave ziekenhuisspullen, grappig en prachtig tegelijkertijd. Gezelligheid en inspiratie op de zondagmiddag.
This past weekend was nice. My friend S. came over, brought me the most beautiful flowers (I love it when a friend totally knows my taste) and we went shopping. I found this cute Polaroid camera at the thrift store and it seems to work. Although I couldn’t save the polaroidfilm that was still in it. Bummer.
On sunday I enjoyed some sun. Not as much as I hoped, but I did eat some popsicles. Because even though summer seams far away, we can act like it’s on our doorstep.
Afgelopen weekend was fijn. Vriendin S. kwam op bezoek, nam de meest geweldige bloemen voor me mee (ik hou ervan als vrienden je smaak zo goed weten in te schatten) en we gingen winkelen. Ik vond deze polaroid camera in de kringloop en hij lijkt te werken. Het lukte me alleen niet om de film die er nog in zat te redden. Pwepwepwe.
Zondag genoot ik van wat zon. Niet zoveel als ik had gehoopt, maar ik heb wel ijsjes gegeten. Want al lijkt de zomer ver weg, we kunnen wel doen alsof het bijna losbarst.

On the top left you see work of Femke Veltkamp. In the middle picture a beautiful work of art by Heidi de Gier, on the lower left DIY houses and trailer by Ellen Vesters and on the right cards and scarves by the talented Maartje van den Noort (she was the one to receive my Creasint-gifts!).
Gisteren ging ik met Anki, Cris en Philomeen naar Winterfeest Hooi en Stro, georganiseerd door Urlaub en Snor Publishers. Het was klein maar ozo leuk!
Bovenaan links zie je werk van Femke Veltkamp. Op de middelste foto een prachtig kunstwerk van Heidi de Gier, linksonder DIY huisjes en caravan van Ellen Vesters en rechts kaarten en sjaals van de getalenteerde Maartje van den Noort (zij was diegene naar wie ik mijn Creasint-kadootjes stuurde!).
Last week I’ve shown you the presents I’ve wrapped as part of creasint. Last wednesday I was allowed to open the presents that were sent to me. I was stunned when I opened them. Sweet Eline Pellinkhof made a cute garland with hearts, she made gift tags and bought some amazing stuff: d.i.y. Origami Birds and a cotton tote bag. Both items are made by Britta Manger of Birdtoldme and were purchased at webshop Indie-ish.
And talk about presents: Ria, Mireille and Marcha will receive a set of my postcards! An email is on it’s way.

Afgelopen week liet ik jullie de kadootjes zien die ik opstuurde in het kader van creasint. Op sinterklaasavond mocht ik eindelijk de kadootjes openmaken die aan mij gestuurd waren. Ik was overdonderd toen ik ze opende. Lieve Eline Pellinkhof maakte een schattige slinger met hartjes, ze maakte kado-labels en ze kocht een paar geweldige dingen voor me: d.i.y. Origami Birds en een katoenen tas. Beiden gemaakt door Britta Manger van Birdtoldme en gekocht bij webshop Indie-ish.
En over kadootjes gesproken: Ria, Mireille en Marcha winnen een set van mijn postkaarten! Een e-mail is naar jullie onderweg.
