Lomo-saturday

Last week I found a Yashica MF-2 at a thrift store. I went to try it out the next day and am pretty pleased with the results! I even had some double exposures at the start and the end of the filmrole (I am curious whether I can reenact that).

These pictures are taken with my Yashica MF-2 and a regular 400 iso filmrole. I don’t edit my lomo-saturday pictures digitally.

Afgelopen week vond ik een Yashica MF-2 in een kringloop. De volgende dag ben ik hem meteen gaan uitproberen en ik ben erg blij met het resultaat. Ik had zelfs wat double exposures aan het begin en het eind van het rolletje (ben benieuwd of ik dat nog een keer voor elkaar kan krijgen).

Deze foto’s zijn gemaakt met mijn Yashica MF-2 en een normaal 400 iso filmrolletje. Ik voeg digitaal niets toe aan mijn lomo-saturday foto’s.

A recap of last week, in a few pictures. The living room is far from finished, but we are getting there. I love the dining room table in it’s future place. And I was thrilled to read the interview with Ellen Vesters in the latest issue of 101 Woonideeën.

The Hay Kaleido trays I bought in the sale at Design Lemonade, sometimes you need to spoil yourself. The pink vase is a Lenneke Wispelwey Pineapple Vase and the small white platter is an item from Maarten Baas‘ Haphazard Harmony collection, I bought it at the Noordbrabants Museum-shop.

Een samenvatting van afgelopen week, in een paar foto’s. De woonkamer is nog verre van af, maar we komen wel in de buurt. Ik vind het zo gaaf om de eettafel al op zijn plek te hebben staan. En het was zo gaaf om het interview met Ellen Vesters te lezen in de laatste 101 Woonideeën.

De Hay Kaleido trays kocht ik in de sale bij Design Lemonade, soms moet je jezelf verwennen. De roze vaas is een Lenneke Wispelwey Pineapple Vase en het kleine witte bordje komt uit de Haphazard Harmony collectie van Maarten Baas, ik kocht hem in de museumwinkel van het Noordbrabants Museum.

Aart

She looks so sweet, right? Don’t be fooled. She is a predator, especially when it comes to plants. The small rose in our patio isn’t safe and the right one of these flesh-eating plants (I bought at Ikea) is half eaten. And it wasn’t me.

Wat ziet ze er schattig uit he? Trap er niet in. Ze is een jager, vooral als het op planten aan komt. De kleine roos in onze patio is niet veilig en het rechtse vleesetende plantje (dat ik kocht bij Ikea) op de foto hierboven is half opgevroten. En niet door mij dus.

Kitchen

Every week we see progress in our kitchen. The floor has been coated: I love the colour. It still needs an extra layer of paint though. Next job is installing the kitchen cabinets, I am not sure when they will be ready, but I can’t wait!

Elke week zien we vooruitgang in de keuken. De vloer is gegoten: ik vind de kleur prachtig. Er moet nog wel een extra laagje lak overheen. De volgende klus is het installeren van de keukendeurtjes. Ik weet nog niet precies wanneer ze klaar zijn, maar ik kan niet wachten!

I love instagram. I really do. Seeing snapshots of the lives from so many people all around the world is great. And I also love showing my pictures with friends, family and instagrammers. Cats

Schurk is lying on top of the furnace: her favorite place. Most of the time Aart lies next to her, but lately she also loves to hide in the cardboard factory.

Schurk ligt op haar favoriete plek: de verwarmingsketel. Aart ligt daar meestal naast, maar ze houdt er de laatste tijd ook van om zich te verstoppen in de kartonnen fabriek.
