Juwelen

Een tijd geleden hadden Wendel en ik het over mijn ketting van A Merry Mishap. Ze wilde er ook een en vertelde dat ze een tutorial had gezien om zulke kralen te maken. Ik ben gaan knutselen en was behoorlijk tevreden over het resultaat. Lieve Wendel, gefeliciteerd met je verjaardag, ik hoop dat je de armband mooi vindt.

A while ago Wendel and I were talking about my necklace by A Merry Mishap. She wanted a piece of jewelry like that and told me she saw a tutorial to make beads like this. I started to work on it and was pretty happy with the result. Sweet Wendel, congrats on your birthday, I hope you like your bracelet.

Buiten

Vandaag zat ik in ons stadstuintje, met een boek in de zon. Op een klapstoeltje, want ik moest de tuinset van opa nog bijtippen met verf, tegen de roest. Dat laatste bleek de ideale klus voor vanmiddag. Nu nog een paar kussens…

Today I sat in our small city garden, reading a book in the sun. I sat on a folding chair, because I hadn’t put some extra varnish on grandpa’s garden set yet, and it started to rust. And that painting was the perfect task for this afternoon. Now all I have to do is make some cushions…

Een paar weken geleden ging ik met Wendel naar Eindhoven en we wilden concept-store You are here niet overslaan. Gaaf concept, geweldige pashokjes en prachtige koopwaar: zoveel inspiratie op een paar vierkante meter.

A few weeks ago Wendel and I went to Eindhoven and we didn’t want to skip concept-store You are here. Great concept, pretty fitting rooms and amazing merchandise: so much inspiration on a few square meters.

Nieuw

Sinds gisteren is www.enigheid.nl in de lucht. Achter de schermen was ik er al even mee bezig, dus het was spannend om het los te laten. Maar ik ben nu zo blij met het resultaat. Dank voor alle leuke reacties en Casper voor al het harde werk!

Since yesterday www.enigheid.nl is in the air. I was working on it for a while, so it was exciting to let it go. But I am so glad with the result. Thank you for all the nice comments and Casper for all the hard work!

Rood en geel

Een hele tijd geleden vond ik twee thermos-flessen bij de kringloop. Ik kon niet kiezen, dus kocht ze allebei. En daar heb ik zeker geen spijt van.

A while ago I found these two thermos-bottles at the thrift store. I couldn’t choose between the two, so I bought them both. And I don’t regret that at all.

Lomo-saturday

De slaapkamerlamp en de lamp op zolder, geschoten met de Olympus Trip 35. Het valt me nu op dat we in elke hanglamp in huis in elk geval een werkend lampje missen. Hmm.

Muur

De kerstversiering is alweer even van de muur en ik heb weer een nieuwe compositie gehangen. De print van Sugarloop hangt rechtsboven, de kaart met het meisje in de regen is van Jessica Nielsen en de hanger met anker is van Lenneke Wispelwey.

I took the Christmas decorations down from the wall a while ago and put another composition with nice prints up. The print on the right above is by Sugarloop, the card with the girl in the rain is by Jessica Nielsen and the anchor hanger is by Lenneke Wispelwey.

Enig rek

Een paar weken geleden vond ik een paar kerstballen in een uitverkoop-bak. Ik vond de kleur niet mooi, dus ik spoot ze in mijn lievelingskleuren. Vorig jaar had ik voor het eerst geen kerstboom, maar hing ik mijn ballen in een rek. Ik vond zelfs een platte kerststal die er perfect bij past. Handig. En daarom haalde ik het rek dit jaar weer tevoorschijn: tadaaa!

A few weeks ago I found some diamond shaped christmas ornaments on sale. I didn’t like their colour, so I spray painted them in my favorite colours. Last year I didn’t have a Christmas tree for the first time, but I hung the ornaments on a rack. I even found a flat nativity scene that fits in perfectly. Neat. And that’s why I brought out the rack again: here it is!
