Just like last year in France, we found a perfect holiday home. In the middle of a Swedish forest this time. Everything was so small and cute. I loved the old fashioned decor and T. especially loved lighting the fire every night.
Net als vorig jaar in Frankrijk, vonden we dit jaar een perfect vakantiehuisje. Middenin een Zweeds bos. Alles was zo klein, schattig en kneuterig. Ik vond de ouderwetse inrichting geweldig en T. vond het vooral fantastisch om elke avond een vuurtje te stoken.

The weekend is at it’s end already. How is it possible weekend days fly by so quickly? I went to the Yvestown Fair and bought these amazing plates made by Nina. I’ll post my fair-impression later this week. And I got a new pair of glasses!
Het weekend zit er alweer op. Hoe kan het toch dat weekenddagen zo snel omvliegen? Ik ging naar de Yvestown Fair en kocht deze geweldige borden bij Nina. Ik post mijn fair-foto’s later deze week. En ik heb een nieuwe bril!
A few weeks ago I went to concept store Outspoken in the back of art gallery Majke Hüsstege in my hometown Den Bosch. It was my first visit to this art gallery (I don’t consider myself an art buyer just yet) but I was amazed. Great works of art that got my mind racing, next to affordable pieces of design. The combination of high end art and the concept store in the back is brilliant. Do visit when in town! Outspoken has a cool instagram account too.
Art work on the first picture is by Ted Noten (who has a very inspiring exhibition at the Stedelijk Museum Den Bosch at the moment, fun, sympathetic and inspiring), second picture is Growth I, II, II by Marko Vuijk. Een paar weken geleden ging ik naar concept store Outspoken achterin kunstgalerie Majke Hüsstege in mijn hometown Den Bosch. Het was de eerste keer dat ik de kunstgalerie bezocht (ik zie mezelf nog niet als kunstkoper) maar het bezoek verraste me. Geweldige kunst die mijn hoofd overuren liet maken, naast betaalbaar design. De combinatie van die high end werken met de concept store is briljant. Ga erheen als je in de buurt bent! Outspoken heeft ook een gaaf instagram account.
Kunstwerk op foto 1 is van Ted Noten (die op dit moment een geweldige tentoonstelling heeft in het Stedelijk Museum Den Bosch, grappig, innemend en inspirerend), het werk op de tweede foto is Growth I, II, II by Marko Vuijk. We went to Sweden for a short holiday trip. It felt like walking around in a fairytale.
We gingen naar Zweden voor een korte vakantie. Het voelt er alsof je in een sprookje rondloopt.

My sister bought me these cute bars of soap as a holiday gift, because they match my bathroom so well. Sweet!
Mijn zusje kocht deze schattige zeepjes voor me als souvenir, omdat ze zo goed passen bij mijn badkamer. Lief!

She looks so sweet, right? Don’t be fooled. She is a predator, especially when it comes to plants. The small rose in our patio isn’t safe and the right one of these flesh-eating plants (I bought at Ikea) is half eaten. And it wasn’t me.
Wat ziet ze er schattig uit he? Trap er niet in. Ze is een jager, vooral als het op planten aan komt. De kleine roos in onze patio is niet veilig en het rechtse vleesetende plantje (dat ik kocht bij Ikea) op de foto hierboven is half opgevroten. En niet door mij dus.
