Dit zijn dit weekend mijn enige huisgenoten: kat Schurk (rechtsonder) en kat Aart, voluit: Aart Staartjes (linksonder en boven). Mijn T. is een weekend snowboarden, maar gelukkig heb ik deze gezelligerds om me heen.

These are my only housemates this weekend: Schurk (in English: Rascal, on the photo’s lower right) and Aart (photo on top and lower left). My love T. is snowboarding for the weekend, but I’m glad I have these little socialites around.

Het mooist aan de weg naar mijn werk vind ik de bruggetjes. Hoe wonderlijk moet het zijn als een bruggetje zoals deze je huis verbindt met de buitenwereld?

Valentijnsdag, wij doen er niks aan. Wij kiezen zelf onze dagen om wat liefs voor elkaar te doen. Maar het is wel een mooie dag om stil te staan bij de liefde!

Valentine’s day, we don’t do anything fancy today. We pick our own days to do something sweet for each other. But it is a great day to dwell on our love!

Vorige week zondag op de rommelmarkt zag ik een aantal prachtige kramen met bijzondere voorwerpen. Én een hoop mensen met karretjes, om alle rommel mee te verslepen. De foto’s zijn wederom genomen met mijn Agfa.

Last sunday at the fleamarket I saw a lot of beautiful stalls with extraordinary objects. And lots of people with trolleys behind them to drag away all of their junk. The pictures are taken with my Agfa again.

Een gezellige avond bij Anki, Casper en Wolf. Heerlijke friet, garnalen en héél veel saus gegeten. Voor betere foto’s van hun prachtige interieur, check beide blogs. A nice evening with Anki, Casper and Wolf. We ate delicious fries, shrimps and lóts of sauce. Antwerpen had zoveel mooie etalages, ik vind dat die een aparte log verdienen. Vooral de lampen van Tom Dixon doen me kwijlen. (En oja, de twee vogels in de ruit van de Urban Outfitters hangen bij mij thuis, mislukte doordraaipoging…)

Antwerp had lot’s of beautiful windowdisplays, I think they deserve a seperate log. Especially Tom Dixon’s lamps make me drool. (By the way, the two birds in the Urban Outfitters-window are from my home, rewind-attempt gone wrong…)

Vorige week zaterdag ben ik samen met Anki gaan winkelen in Antwerpen. Mijn Agfa-camera besloeg de helft van mijn tas, maar niet voor niks. Wat een mooie stad!

Past saturday I went to Antwerp with Anki to do a whole lot of shopping. My Agfa-camera took up half my bagspace, but for a good cause. What a charming city!

Afgelopen week zag ik op HollandDoc de documentaire De Kijk van Kessels. Erik Kessels is onder andere reclamemaker, grafisch ontwerper en fotoverzamelaar. Hij plaatst foto’s meesterlijk bij elkaar en hij geeft de meest ‘mislukte’ foto’s een podium. Mooier wordt lomo niet. Het was niet de eerste keer dat ik de documentaire zag, maar hij blijft me raken. Kijkt allen!

Last week I saw the documentary De Kijk van Kessels (Kessels’ Eye). Erik Kessels is an advertisingguru, graphic designer and photocollector. He arranges pictures magnificently and he puts ‘failed’ pictures on a pedestal. Lomo at its best. It wasn’t the first time I saw the documentary, but it keeps getting me. Do take a look at his work!
